Despite encountering a number of trainers who fell short in one or more of these areas, in Alex, I had met my match. Furthermore, the option of a couple of free sessions was an additional incentive to work with him. While this review may seem lengthy, I prefer to conduct thorough research before settling on a trainer. Alex's experience was especially noteworthy to me, not just because he had over a decade in the field, but also due to his own experiences with weight loss which instilled in him a unique perspective that made me feel he would understand my challenges in this area. I also had several injuries which required a trainer who understood how to work with them without hindering my progress. In my initial sessions with Alex, it became clear that he had the requisite experience to assist me. Alex's professional education was also substantial. His NASM certification as a weight loss specialist was an essential aspect which gave me confidence that he had the knowledge necessary to help me meet my goals. Moreover, he took the time to understand me as an individual, inquiring about my health concerns, lifestyle and nutrition choices, thereby affirming his commitment to tailoring his approach to help me individually. In terms of personality, Alex struck the ideal balance between pushing me to my limits and providing support, encouragement and inspiration that I needed. Unlike trainers who might use intimidation or coddling, Alex's well-placed jokes and encouragement always helped me stay motivated. Alex's communication skills were invaluable in our training sessions. In particular, he was always open to answering my many questions, either during the sessions or via text message promptly. His regular check-ins after each session to ensure that any injuries had not been exacerbated was another aspect that impressed me. Finally, Alex's professionalism was evident throughout our sessions. Unlike other trainers who had behaved unprofessionally or unethically, Alex placed a premium on respect and dedication to his clients' training objectives. In sum, working with Alex has been an exceptional experience. Not only have I witnessed positive physical improvements in my body and strength, but a number of aches and pains which had plagued me previously have also reduced impressively.
