At 11 am, Shannon was scheduled to come over and put together a lift chair and bed frame for me. After she failed to show up, I gave her a call and she told me that she was running late and would come by at 2 pm. However, 2 pm came and went and she still hadn't arrived, so I decided to give her another call. Unfortunately, she didn't pick up. By 4:15 PM, I had not been updated about her whereabouts, so I called her once more. She explained that she was at the gas station and had no money in her account to pay for gas. I was not going to send her money through Venmo because I am well aware of the many frauds in South Florida. Disappointed, I decided to end our arrangement and find another person to assist me. She wasted my entire day and I don't want her to use this app again.

The project involving my exterior door was a major disappointment. We agreed on a price that seemed too good to be true, but halfway through the project, the contractor had to increase the amount due to unexpected issues that required cutting into the exterior of my home. She disappeared for almost three hours to get her tools and was unable to finish the job in one day. Despite this, she insisted on requesting payment on that same day. The following day, she returned to complete the installation of the door handle, trim, and caulk. However, during this time, she made it clear that she was only doing it to "be a good neighbor" and not because it was part of the project. This was of great concern to me since I had explicitly hired her to complete the project as per our agreement, and it was evident that she was unable to deliver on that promise. Moreover, the trim, door handle, and even the deadbolt were crooked and poorly caulked, leaving many edges askew. In essence, the entire project appeared to have been completed by an amateur. I have since been forced to hire someone else to fix the issues, which is not only disappointing but also frustrating. While the contractor was friendly and non-threatening, I cannot recommend her for any project requiring skilled labor. If you need a project done and cannot find anyone else, she may be a last resort option. However, if you want your project done correctly, I would highly recommend looking elsewhere. Ultimately, I have to pay another professional now to fix the major issues with the door to ensure it lasts more than five years and does not have any problems after the winter.

Although it took some time to establish a connection, the individual was very pleasant and accomplished their task flawlessly.
