Talent cannot be taught, it must be innate. However, everyone possesses their own unique gift. It is up to each individual to learn how to use their gift, gain confidence, and combine those elements to present the best version of themselves.
During my grade school years in Brooklyn, my commanding voice made me impossible to ignore. In junior high, I began public speaking for my school. A teacher urged me to audition for the High School of Performing Arts in New York, which I did, and went on to graduate from the program. I continued my studies at SUNY Purchase Conservatory in White Plains, New York, earning a BFA with honors. Professionally, I have appeared on popular TV shows such as "Seinfeld", "All My Children", "Days of Our Lives", "The Nanny", and "Mad About You", among others. I have also appeared in Broadway productions and at the Folger Shakespeare Theatre in Washington D.C.
All of my accomplishments were possible because of my ability to present well during auditions. Interpreting scripts and getting to the heart of a character is crucial to performing well. Public speaking requires the ability to convey a message in a confident and concise manner. To take on a character in acting, one must study the role and make informed choices. The audience must trust that the actor is the best choice for the role.
When public speaking or presenting, one should remember that it is their moment to shine. At work, colleagues want to hear what they have to say. At home, an individual should find their voice and express themselves authentically. Questions such as "what message am I trying to convey?" and "what do I want to say?" can help an individual fully understand their character or presentation. Focusing on strengths can help one identify what they bring to the table.
I work with clients remotely and have proven success through platforms such as FaceTime, Skype, and Zoom. My hourly rate is $120, with a half-hour option at $75. I have a same-day cancellation policy, but will understand and make exceptions for emergencies or illness.
