The Violin & Piano Studio of Janice Mauroschadt

I absolutely adore my lessons with Janice. Being a mature learner, she tailors her teaching technique to suit my learning approach and is flexible enough to work around my busy work schedule.

Janice has been a part of our lives for more than a decade now. Initially, she instructed our oldest child in violin-playing and did an outstanding job of capturing their interest in the instrument. Maintaining a perfect balance of putting the child at ease and inspiring them to learn, Janice also emphasized the importance of correct technique and extending their repertoire. Her extensive experience is evident in the way she intently observes the child's playing and identifies any potential issues, always coming up with innovative solutions to effectively address them. Despite having relocated from Charlottesville, our younger children are currently taking online violin lessons from Janice as we are unable to find another teacher as devoted and skilled as her.

Ms. Mauroschadt began teaching our daughters piano and violin lessons in January 2020. Initially, we simply hoped they would gain proficiency in their instruments and develop a love for the arts. However, Ms. Mauroschadt has far exceeded our expectations in just three months! Her use of the Suzuki Method and ability to cultivate a grounded learning process has been impressive. Our daughters have not only progressed quickly in their music, but have also learned valuable character and life skills such as courage, resilience, patience, commitment, discipline, and humility. They understand the importance of hard work and the joy that comes with success. As a parent, I'm proud that they're developing their musical abilities, but I'm even more grateful that they're building the skills necessary to face any future challenges.

As a teacher of fine arts, Janice excels in her craft. Despite our son's short time with her, significant progress has already been made. She possesses classical training and education, imparting such fundamentals to her pupils through enjoyable and uplifting means. Janice establishes high standards for performance while remaining compassionate towards fulfilling them. Overall, we have observed enhancements in our child's piano and drawing capabilities.

After my initial call with Janice to schedule my interview, I am thrilled to share my enthusiasm! During our conversation, we discussed my ambitions, expertise, and past endeavors, and I could sense that she was already devising innovative methods to enhance my learning experience.
