The Smoky Caipirinhas is a duo that formed in Manhattan during the summer of 2021. They combine the unique sounds of a Brazilian percussionist and a British-American singer/pianist to create a magical atmosphere that transports listeners to another time. Sonya F. of Gigsalad Review described the experience as "the hit of the party." Expect seamless vocals and harmonies, playful percussion, and reinterpretations of bossa nova classics, American standards, and international favorites with a vaudeville flair.

Alex Frederick is a charming singing pianist who has performed across the globe. He sings and plays the piano at the legendary Don't Tell Mama Piano Bar in New York City's Theatre District. Leo Guerra, a charismatic percussionist, has played with traditional jazz, blues, and Brazilian jazz and bossa bands/artists in both Brazil and the US. Together, they have performed to sell-out crowds at Rockwood Music Hall, as well as private events in Huntingdon Valley, PA, Avalon, NJ, and throughout the Tri-state area.
