Take advantage of our December special and work on achieving your singing goals! Currently, we are offering a free consultation and discounted packages. During the consultation, I will listen to your voice on some scales without judgment, to determine how to help you build and develop your voice to reach your vocal and musical aspirations.

Online lessons provide a chance for you to see what to expect and experience the results. Please note that due to COVID, I currently offer online lessons only via FaceTime, Zoom, and Google Duo, prioritizing our health and safety until it is safe to resume in-person lessons.

My teaching style, the Bel Canto method, aims to promote "effortless singing" while managing effort and individual needs. You will learn to use minimal effort while gaining maximum results, extending your vocal range, singing with confidence, ease, and control. Whether you're preparing for an audition, heading to the studio, or hoping to impress your friends with your incredible karaoke skills, I'll help you discover, develop, and master your own vocal capabilities. Richard is an exceptional teacher, and it's difficult to know where to begin in praising him. He creates a friendly atmosphere that is perfect for beginners. I had very limited skills and knowledge when I started with him, but just after a month he had me singing in a consistent and comfortable tone. Richard goes above and beyond for his students, always maintaining a positive attitude that puts me at ease and boosts my confidence. His use of great analogies helps me to grasp even the most difficult concepts. Even on my worst days, Richard's guidance has helped me to find my voice. Rich is a phenomenal teacher who is wonderful and incredibly supportive. I began my lessons with him over a year ago with very little experience and no technique, leading to a sore and hoarse voice. Despite my love for singing, I struggled to put the pieces together. However, with Rich's guidance and patience, I have learned how to open up my voice, breathe supportively, blend voices, and even expand my range by two octaves. Rich has set clear and attainable goals for me and always encourages me gently, even when I struggle to hit notes. He tailors our lessons to my needs, allowing me to choose the music I want to learn and introducing me to a variety of genres to expand my repertoire. He does not follow a "method" or standard voice lessons like other teachers. I began my vocal training around the age of seven, possibly even earlier. From fifth grade until high school graduation, I received private lessons. However, my singing stagnated for six years until I felt the need to revisit private instruction because singing was missing from my life. To my amazement, Richard improved my vocal performance exponentially in just five sessions, unlike all of my previous teachers, coaches, and directors over the past decade. Richard has systematically broken down the fundamentals of singing and created a relaxed atmosphere that enables me to enjoy the sounds my voice produces and its capabilities.
