Born and raised in New Orleans, LA, Mr. Boasberg relocated to Austin, TX to study at The University of Texas. Here, he earned undergraduate degrees in Government and Business before enrolling at South Texas College of Law in Houston, TX. Shane secured a law clerk position with the esteemed law firm of Gallagher, Lewis, Downey, and Kim during his time at South Texas College of Law in Houston. While there, he honed his skills in legal and appellate research and writing, as well as trial preparation that led to his involvement in one of the most extensive settlements ever recorded in US jurisprudence history.

Shane graduated from South Texas College of Law in 2002 and commenced his legal career at the Heard, Robins, Cloud, Lubel, and Greenwood LLP located in Houston. Two years later, he moved back to Austin, TX, to become the General Counsel for Texas Senator, Mario Gallegos. Following his tenure at the Texas Senate, Shane worked for Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott - where he worked on various legal and political issues related to eminent domain and transportation - while serving as the Legislative Liaison between the Texas Attorney General-Transportation Division and the Texas Legislature.

After leaving the legislature and the OAG-Texas, Mr. Boasberg ventured back into private-practice in 2010, setting up his law firm in Austin, TX, with a satellite office in Houston, TX. With almost every type of civil case under his belt throughout his career, Shane continues to remain active in the community and is a member of the Texas State Bar, Austin Bar Association, and the Capitol Area Trial Lawyers Association. Among the accolades he has received, Texas Monthly included him in their list of "Rising Stars" for 2012, 2014-2016 - an honor reserved for only 2.5% of eligible Texas attorneys recognized by Super Lawyers based on nominations from their peers.
