Prior to hiring the contractor, I requested a thorough visual inspection and quote for the replacement of a single, cracked glass pane and cleaning of all windows with storm door covers. The contractor provided a reasonable quote and I paid a 50% deposit to schedule the work at his next availability. Several days later, the contractor arrived and replaced the glass pane and cleaned the windows. However, the overall cleaning was subpar and failed to address accumulated spider webs and dust. Despite this, the contractor invoiced me in full and I paid the balance, assuming the work had been completed properly. The following day, I discovered that the contractor had not cleaned the window glass inside and was able to accomplish this task myself with ease. After contacting the contractor, he explained that he had difficulty removing the storm covers and offered to return for an additional fee of 150%. This dishonest behavior and failure to perform the work as agreed left me feeling upset and frustrated. The contractor should have notified me during the inspection if the additional work would cost more or if he was unable to perform the task. I regret paying hard-earned money to an unprofessional and inexperienced contractor. I advise finding a true professional to complete your job, rather than wasting time and money with this company.
