The French Influence - French lessons & Etiquette
Simply being French does not guarantee one’s ability to effectively teach the French language. I possess an Education degree from France and have previously served as a high school teacher in a Parisian school district for several years. Even today, I remain registered as a teacher with France’s Department of Education (Education Nationale). My training has prepared me to implement pedagogical methods that yield favorable results, devise various curriculums, and work with students of different backgrounds.
Regardless of whether you’re a high school student who struggles with homework assignments or a retiree seeking to refine their French language skills, my approach is centered around clarifying the language’s logic. You’re likely to remember information better if you understand it, rather than solely memorizing phrases. My goal is to equip you with the fundamentals necessary to construct your own sentences, instead of merely repeating pre-made sayings. I implement a vast array of techniques and materials, ranging from literature and conversation groups to cartoons, sketches, grammar lessons, flashcards, games, writing workshops, and mini-plays, in order to keep lessons stimulating.
While most of my lessons are now conducted online, I also offer in-person sessions near Studio City.
