I am proud to say that I am fully vaccinated! My name is Brian Grasberger and I have a B.S. in Canine Studies from Bergin University of Canine Studies. I am also an AKC certified Canine Good Citizen and S.T.A.R. puppy trainer with experience in training, troubleshooting, placing service dogs, and testing placed service dogs for a non-profit service dog organization. Additionally, I have experience with behavior modification for shelter dogs and private clients.
My techniques are reward-based and focus on self-corrections by the dogs with verbal guidance or corrections as necessary. I am particularly skilled at teaching loose leash walking. However, I do not claim to be an animal behaviorist or behavior specialist as this requires a PhD.
As a dog trainer, I use positive reinforcement with a decreasing random reward schedule and work to train the trainers as well as the dogs. My education covers service dogs, obedience, rally, agility, nose work, hunting, search and rescue, and behavior modification.
Prior to teaching, I was a Puppy-Raiser-Manager and on-site dog trainer for a non-profit service dog organization. I oversaw the training of service dog candidates, ran classes and private lessons, and taught dogs to do specific tasks needed by clients. I also taught a work training program at a juvenile hall, which won a state award.

Brian was a godsend when we welcomed Cash, a four-year-old rescue, into our home. Cash didn't have any prior training and had lived his entire life outside. Brian had a clear approach to training Cash, and we were amazed at how quickly Cash responded to his leadership. Brian was excellent at explaining what we should be doing, particularly when Cash didn't follow our instructions. He was patient with us and allowed us to practice until we got it right. In six sessions spread over two months, Brian taught us how to teach Cash a range of commands from touch to leave it. He also helped us with Cash's car anxiety and excitable behavior around food. We noticed a significant change in Cash's behavior post-training. Brian was flexible enough to train both at our home and in public places, which helped us test our skills in real-world situations. When we mentioned our desire to take our 55 lb. Bulldog and 15 lb. Boston Terrier to outdoor wineries and restaurants, Brian readily agreed to help us train them to sit comfortably in a cart. We appreciate his willingness to work around our schedules and his excellent communication skills. If we ever need help with dog training again, Brian will be our first call. We couldn't have managed without him!

Without a doubt, Brian is the most exceptional trainer I have ever had the honor of collaborating with. Our one-year-old blue heeler/cattle dog had been displaying aggression towards unfamiliar individuals and darting out of our abode. However, Brian was able to recognize the root of her problems and assisted us in training her, refining her fundamental directions, and refining her leash-walking skills, all within a few tutorials! He not only has a remarkable affinity for canines but also for their owners! The finest is Temecula's Best Friend Dog training by Brian. We've relied on Brian twice now to assist us with our rescued St. Bernards. He's taught us how to train our 9-month-old puppy through interactive and optimistic techniques. Thanks to him, we're en route to having a thoroughly socialized and well-behaved puppy.
