My now-husband and I had to relocate from New Orleans due to Hurricane Ida and start from scratch. Despite this, we were determined to continue with our union. We decided on a private wedding for just the two of us as we believed that this was what truly mattered. I spent hours searching for an officiant, but everyone else only offered elopement packages that we did not want. Jana, however, was extremely helpful and professional when I asked her about the "elopement." She asked for everything she needed to perform the ceremony and came appropriately dressed for our "simple park elopement." Her husband was also present and very polite. Jana's words during the ceremony felt like they were coming directly from my heart. As a poet, I couldn't have worded anything better myself.
