Smart Choice Inspectors are licensed, certified master inspectors and fully insured. They offer general home inspections that cover roofing, exterior, structural, electrical, heating, cooling, insulation, plumbing, interior, wood destroying inspection (TERMITE), identifying harmful materials such as asbestos, water intrusion issues, and more. Additional services such as oil tank sweep (with probing if able), radon testing (same day results), lead inspections (visual and/or dust wipe samples), and mold inspections (visual, physical samples, and/or air quality samples) are available for an extra fee. Fees are dependent on property size and services needed. They cover areas such as NJ, CT, and PA (travel fee may be applicable for CT and PA).

The business was started by two experienced professionals with a decade of contracting/construction experience. Within 24-36 hours of the inspection, customers will receive a report with dozens of photographs, explanations on the issues found, and ways to maintain the household in the future. The report has many diagrams to thoroughly explain the nature of the problems discovered in the home.
