Description:

As a studio artist and educator, I have exhibited my artwork extensively across the United States, particularly in the Chicago area. My academic background includes a Bachelors of Art degree from Smith College and an MFA in sculpture from the Art Institute of Chicago. With over 15 years of teaching experience, I am currently a full-time, tenured art professor at Dominican University in River Forest, IL.

In addition to teaching, I have founded Slowfire Studios, a personalized art education business. Our studio, located in Chicago, provides a welcoming environment for students of all skill levels to explore various mediums such as ceramics, wheel throwing, drawing, painting, fibers, sculpture, and printmaking. Not only do we offer in-person instruction, but we also provide remote private teaching in painting, drawing, and sculpture. Furthermore, we provide consultation services for students who are interested in improving or constructing their art portfolios for college admissions.

At Slowfire Studios, Noelle and her team go beyond simply providing 'classes'. They foster a secure and supportive space for my daughters to explore self-expression through various art forms. With their exceptional skill in guiding and pushing the limits of my children's abilities, they also cultivate their artistic talents. Without a doubt, my daughters relish their time at Slowfire Studios!

The educators possess a wealth of expertise and adaptability, in addition to being impeccably organized. My child has participated in classes on sketching, pottery, and textile crafts, and has gained considerable knowledge while creating stunning artwork.

There's never a time when Noelle isn't willing to answer queries, and her studio provides a cozy atmosphere for creating art. The assortment of classes offered enables students to develop personally through either one-on-one instruction or small group sessions. The setting is welcoming for individuals of all levels, from novice to pro. Conveniently, ceramics, drawing, painting, printmaking, and fibers/sewing classes are all available in a single location.

Prior to attending this place, I had no prior experience with art. However, my experience in hand-built ceramics classes was fantastic. In the future, I plan on progressing to wheel throwing and am eagerly anticipating it!

Their instructors, who are both skilled artists and educators, offer a supportive and inclusive setting. In conclusion, it is an exceptional experience that should not be missed.
