At the onset of the Covid-19 lockdown, Serafia, a well-known jazz/soul/blues singer, and her partner, Dan Kattan, established Sidewalk Singers. With all their tours and performances cancelled, they sought to amuse, uplift spirits, and aid their community while upholding social distance protocols. Our objective is to offer a pleasant, secure, and unforgettable means for individuals to commemorate their special events during these challenging times while contributing a portion to assist our community and less privileged neighbors.

Working with Serefia was an absolute delight. She tailored her music to perfectly suit our 4th of July celebration, incorporating both nostalgic tunes with soulful renditions, along with patriotic tracks. I was truly taken aback by the vast selection of songs available to choose from. The singers exuded warmth and approachability, and their renditions of the songs were impeccable with flawless background accompaniment. The music was enjoyed by all, but what made my uncle's 100th birthday all the more extraordinary was the incorporation of his birthday sentiments into the performance.

Although I wanted to select all, I could only choose three standout qualities of Serafia's. Her timeliness, professionalism, and friendliness were exceptional, in addition to her helpful input for my wife's wedding anniversary surprise. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience, and we certainly did. Serafia's beautiful and engaging singing added to the feeling that something special was happening. Even when I requested a song outside of their usual playlist, "Sparks" by Coldplay, she was eager to learn it and performed it wonderfully. The Sidewalk Singers made our Saturday afternoon unforgettable and we will definitely be inviting them back for more. Their performance surpassed just entertainment; it was a truly memorable experience. I highly recommend the Sidewalk Singers for any occasion.
