Initially, I engaged Eric to complete some household tasks and was pleased with his work and demeanor. I therefore decided to engage him on a continuous basis and requested additional quotations, including a deck repair and refinish. We mutually agreed on a start date for the deck project on the following Monday after discussing the details. However, I found myself following up with him multiple times over three days to obtain a price proposal, which he promised to provide within a couple of hours. On Sunday evening, he informed me that he would commence work on Tuesday instead of Monday due to a conflicting engagement. Despite this, I accommodated his request. On the agreed upon day, Eric arrived at 11am, but still failed to provide me with a price proposal. He began work on the deck, and at the end of the day, he explained that he would not be able to return until Friday because he needed to be present for inspections at another job. I agreed to this as well. However, he failed to show up on Friday, nor did he inform me. Over the weekend, I tried calling him with no success. I eventually called from a different number on Monday, prompting him to hang up as soon as he realized it was me. I have never experienced such a high level of unprofessionalism. Despite being accommodating, providing excellent reviews, paying in cash and for materials not used, I have not received a refund. I gave him every opportunity to address the issues, assuming he would act professionally, but he failed to do so. Consequently, I feel compelled to leave this negative review and to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I would advise anyone looking to hire Second Sons to reassess their decision.
