Kajukenbo/Wun Hop Kuen Do is one of the first organized mixed martial arts in the USA, developed in the 1940s solely as a street self defense system. Today, it has grown into several branches, each with its own unique flavor of kung fu and related systems.
Filipino Martial Arts includes Eskrima, Kali and Arnis, which are fighting arts of the Philippines, known for its use of the stick and knife and street-savvy empty hand fighting methods. We also offer "dirty boxing" or Suntukan (or Panantukan) that involves the use of elbows, knees and kicks as well as conventional boxing methods.
Our Tai Chi/Qigong classes teach Chen style's strong martial arts background in a manner where students learn routines, partner flow drills and fighting applications. We also teach the most recognized Yang style movements, which enhance health by providing therapeutic Qigong breathing exercises and Yang style routines.
Restita has a wealth of knowledge in various martial arts, having taught since 1982. She holds teaching certifications in Karate, Kajukenbo, Wun Hop Kuen Do Kung Fu, Filipino Fighting Arts, Wushu, Tai Chi and Qigong. She is also an ordained minister and Reiki Master Practitioner. We also offer private seminars in any of our subjects for larger groups at your martial arts school, workplace, or organization.
