Seaton Hackney Stables

Back in the 70s, Seaton Hackney was the destination of choice for my parents and me. During those five years, I honed my riding skills and even continued to ride throughout college. Over the years, I've maintained a connection with Seaton Hackney's friendly staff, stopping by to visit the horses whenever I'm in the area. If I had children of my own, I'd undoubtedly encourage them to take up riding, just like my parents did for me. While I've entertained thoughts of attending Seaton Hackney's adult lessons, that tired excuse of "I'm too old" always seems to emerge. ;)

Less than two years ago, I began my riding journey at Seaton Hackney. Inexperienced and unsure, I was fortunate to have an excellent instructor who helped me progress to the point of jumping within just ten months. While I have seen negative comments and ratings from some, I want to emphasize the care and support that both my friends and the SHS staff have provided me. Those who have given Seaton Hackney a chance, like myself, have loved it. The owner has given me countless opportunities to improve my riding through free leases, eventing clinics and camps, and even an eventing show. Our horses are treated with love and care, as I can attest from riding here frequently and knowing everyone. I urge those who have left negative reviews to reconsider, recognizing Seaton Hackney for the amazing place it truly is.

My initial lesson went splendidly, causing me to book more sessions. The office staff was remarkably accommodating, with Marc going out of his way to converse with me over email and address all my inquiries. My equestrian instructor was beyond exceptional. I cannot wait to continue my training!

I have been employed at Seaton Hackney for approximately two years and it is undoubtedly the most impressive job I have ever had. The welfare of employees is highly valued, with some staff rewarded with luxurious vacations as an expression of appreciation for their hard work. All horses at Seaton Hackney are cared for adequately and are in excellent health. The farm boasts of two highly skilled farriers who ensure that our equines are at ease and several vets are readily available to offer any required assistance. Additionally, we have numerous instructors specializing in all skill levels to cater to all clients, including kids as young as four years old and adults seeking to commence riding later on. The establishment has recently launched an IEA team, consisting of over 25 riders who represent the farm and display the lessons learned from our outstanding horses and instructors. The introduction of eventing as part of our rider's knowledge has also aroused significant interest, and we have been voted as the number one summer camp numerous times consecutively. Therefore, I urge you not to pay attention to an unfamiliar individual named Jason F and instead experience Seaton Hackney for yourself.

After nearly 6 years of working at Seaton Hackney Stables, I was perplexed by Jason F.'s negative review on December 27th, 2015. My colleagues and I take pride in our devoted care for the horses, ensuring their happiness, health, and wellbeing at all times. With each team member having their own specialty and unique qualities, we aim to provide a personal experience for every individual who visits the barn. Despite Jason F.'s claim that we only serve beginners, our stable caters to all levels, including the exciting new IEA advanced riding team, which has garnered much success this fall.
