I am pleased to offer saxophone and flute lessons throughout the greater NYC and Long Island area, and I want to emphasize that I am fully vaccinated and boosted. As a saxophonist with over twenty years of experience, I provide instruction to students of all levels and musical styles including jazz, classical, pop, blues, smooth jazz, and NYSSMA preparation. During our sessions, your enjoyment is my primary concern, as I believe that being passionate about playing the saxophone is essential for skill development.
I travel to my pupils' homes for lessons or invite you to visit me in Astoria. Additionally, I offer personalized recording and transcription services. Share the music you want to play, and I will record and transcribe it to help you enhance your repertoire in a productive and personalized way.
Please contact me for more details on pricing, including my NYC fees are $80 per session and Nassau, Bergen and Hudson County fees are $100 per session. A discount of 20% for the initial four lessons is offered to interested students.
My educational background involves obtaining a B.M. in Postmodern Music from Kyung Hee University, Republic of Korea, and an M.M. in Music (Jazz) Program from The City College of New York, CUNY.
I've gained experience playing saxophone for the Navy Entertainment Team, Republic of Korea Navy, and performing for various recording sessions and concerts, including the Martin Luther King50: Let Freedom Ring at Aaron Davis Hall, 2018. I have received numerous awards and scholarships throughout my musical journey that validate my expertise, including a Grand Prize, Busan Citizen Park Jazz Concours, 2015.
Lastly, I am fluent in Korean and English, making communication easy and enjoyable for all students.

His remarkable expertise in the craft and patience in answering all of our inquiries sold us. During the initial consultation, Jerry was also incredibly hands-on, gathering as much information as possible about our roof and even fixing a small issue for free during his visit.
Throughout the entire project, Jerry and his team displayed an outstanding level of responsiveness to our requests and feedback, even starting the day after we signed the contract. With just one day devoted to the tear-down and two days for the new roof installation, they worked swiftly to accommodate our tight deadline. This was essential to us since we received a notice of non-renewal from our homeowners' insurance if we didn't replace our roof.

Our bathroom remodeling project was more than satisfactory as Jerry and his team did an exceptional job. Worries about damage to our floors were allayed when they covered the workspace with cardboard. We could still use the rest of the house while the work went on. I highly endorse their services. In fact, we have engaged them to remodel the entire house, which includes all our other bathrooms, new paint, and basement floors.
