Sarah Platt - Violin Teacher
Based in Asheville, North Carolina, Sarah Platt is a seasoned violinist, composer, and educator. Her passion for music was ignited during a high school music theory course, which led her to pursue studies in both violin and composition at Georgia State University. Under the guidance of Tania Maxwell-Clements for violin and Dr. Robert Scott Thompson for composition, Sarah graduated in 2020. She specializes in creating programmatic and impressionistic compositions by merging neoromantic themes with minimalist textures. As an educator, Sarah caters to students of all ages and skill levels, fostering parental involvement and prioritizing aural skills, critical listening, and interpretation. In her free time, Sarah enjoys performing with non-profit and community orchestras such as the Atlanta Philharmonic Orchestra, the Atlanta Musicians Orchestra, and the Georgia State University Symphony Orchestra.
