I am uncertain about Daniel's whereabouts. We established contact here and scheduled a date and time for him to assess my property. Since the appointment was in the morning, I woke up early, waited eagerly, and even sent a follow-up message an hour later to check if he was still on board. Sadly, there was no response. This is disappointing as I was impressed by his previous work online. I had intended on recommending him to friends and family, but unfortunately, I cannot do so at this point.

In May, I received a bid of $6800 from Daniel Santiago for resurfacing my sloped driveway and basement stairs which was impressive as his team had completed the bioswales for the city of Portland in my area two years prior. I found him to be professional and prompt in our meeting and submitting his bid. Although I was pleased with his offer, I ultimately went with another contractor who could commence the project earlier. The other contractor, however, did a poor job as the driveway was unevenly graded, sloped in towards the house in some areas, had water pooling, and the concrete had no metal grating. Furthermore, the workmanship was shabby, and concrete splatters were left on my house. Later in the summer, I reached out to Daniel to solve the issue. He gave me a $7800 bid, which I found fair, considering the additional work of concrete removal necessary. Daniel was always available via text and easy to work with as we planned timing. His team removed my driveway on September 25th and spent several rainy days setting up the forms, grading the soil and adding gravel. It was challenging to pinpoint the pour date given that we were in October - I was keen to observe the pour after my previous experience. He was responsive and kept a close eye on the weather. Finally, they poured on a bright sunny day on the 15th of October. Daniel's team of five arrived on time and worked until mid-afternoon perfecting the finish, edging, and seam details. The process was fascinating, and it was evident that the men worked well together and were experts in their field. They were considerate of my property, covered the house with plastic, answered my questions, and addressed concerns such as the gate clearance over the concrete. To summarize, I'm delighted with the quality of work of Santiago Concrete and would recommend them for their professionalism and expertise.
