My radon mitigation was an overall negative experience. Although I hired this company based on good reviews and price, they were unable to seal my sump pump during the first visit due to its size, and refused to provide a refund. Additionally, I discovered that the mitigation fan was set up to run only when a light switch was turned on. I also found out that they left a hole in the side of my house when they decided to place the fan in a different location. While they came back to fix the hole and repair the electrical, they did not bring the right size lid to seal my sump pump and instead put some foam over my French drain. Finally, when I received the results of my repeat radon test, it showed no improvement in radon levels. While the company argued that the numbers were lower than on my home inspection from months prior, this was not due to the radon mitigation, as the levels were exactly the same before and after the fan started running. Now, I am being quoted a much higher price for a fix. Due to their poor performance, I will be using a different company to waterproof and seal my sump pump. Overall, I am extremely dissatisfied with this company and would not recommend them to anyone.

Safe Shelter did an excellent job on my radon remediation needs. When I asked for quotes, most recommended replacing my passive system with an unsightly pipe outside my home. However, Tim and his crew offered a better solution by converting my passive system to active. They successfully decreased my levels from the mid 80s to 1.9 and all for a more cost-effective price.
