Sabu was contracted to handle my 2022 taxes, which included one rental property and various expenses such as gas, postage, and capital gains, as well as dividends. Initially, we agreed on a written fee of $250.00. Regrettably, Sabu made several errors on my tax return. For instance, he misspelled my name, got our address wrong, omitted some of our repairs, and ignored our medical receipts. I had to review the return and send it back to him four separate times for corrections. In the end, Sabu demanded $875.00 as payment, which was substantially more than our agreed-upon fee. Furthermore, he threatened not to file our tax return with the IRS if I refused to pay the increased fee. This has been my most unsatisfactory experience with an accountant in 30 years.
