Reece Thompson

For more than a decade, I have been coaching chess at Kidchess in Atlanta. This afterschool/summer camp program ensures that children learn chess in a fun and engaging way. I am also proud to have an impressive chess player rating in Georgia.

My true passion lies in imparting chess knowledge to others. There is something incredibly fulfilling about witnessing beginners mastering the sport.

In terms of my background, I have achieved significant milestones in chess. I have been crowned Georgia Highschool State Champion twice, and recognized as an official "Candidate Chess Master". At Webster University, I was fortunate enough to earn a $56,000 chess scholarship. To round off my education, I graduated from Georgia Tech with a B.S in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance.
