I needed to have a room's ceiling and walls painted and replaced, and insulation was necessary during the ceiling replacement. However, the contractor attempted to charge me an unreasonable $800 to install the insulation, even though it wasn't originally there. Ultimately, the replacements turned out well. Unfortunately, I also needed to have the hardwood floor sanded and stained. They primarily used a hand sander, which caused sand and dust to spread throughout the house. After the staining, there were footmarks, drip and pour marks all over the floor. Additionally, brush marks appeared after the polyurethane was applied. Now, I must have the entire floor redone, and I'm incredibly unhappy with the situation. I hoped to complete everything at once without having to move furniture in and out again.
