With more than two decades of experience working with families in public and private college preparatory high schools, as well as serving as an adjunct faculty member at a Midwestern university, I bring a wealth of knowledge to the table. My qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in History Education, a Master of Arts in School Counseling, and being a current certified teacher and school counselor with the Illinois State Board of Education.

As a seasoned expert in college admissions, I have personally visited over 150 campuses of top universities and liaised with countless admissions counselors. We enlisted the help of a college consultant to guide my son through the stressful college application process leading up to the deadlines. We discovered Quest College Consulting/Tom through CrackerJack, and my son was instantly drawn to Tom’s personality, low-key approach and vast knowledge that facilitated the development and submission of his applications - a far better option than if I had been guiding the process myself. They developed an excellent working relationship, and Tom’s motivational approach was immensely helpful to my son, making it unnecessary for me to nag him regularly. I appreciated Tom's availability, his openness to parental feedback, and his commitment to ensuring the success of each student. For example, my son initially wanted to apply to only a couple of universities, but Tom encouraged him to apply to many more schools- eight or nine in the end- which is crucial in California where acceptance rates for in-state applications to public schools are notoriously low. Though Tom’s service was somewhat expensive, the peace of mind and convenience was invaluable to us.
