My training in Vaisnavism adhered to strict religious standards, including the requirement to be freshly bathed and have covered hair before entering the kitchen. This was because presenting an impeccably clean offering was considered essential. Additionally, I was taught that cooking must be done in the mode of goodness and never in the mode of passion or ignorance. This was because the mood of the cook would inevitably be transmitted to the food.
I also discovered the art of combining seasonal ingredients in unique ways, utilizing an array of spices to enhance the flavors.
