Dr. Barbara Lamb possesses a wealth of knowledge in music and various musical instruments. As such, I frequently enlist her services to teach my grandchildren music. Under her tutelage, my grandson has made significant improvements in his musicianship, both as a fourth-grade school teacher and leader of The Fabulous Fiddlers, as well as during private lessons. Thanks to Dr. Lamb's guidance, he can proficiently read music in both treble and bass clefs, and his tonality has greatly improved. She takes her time with vocabulary and musical terms for tempo, providing gentle guidance to enhance his stroking and incorporating interesting trivia about the music he's playing. Even when my grandson hasn't practiced enough, Dr. Lamb doesn't reprimand him, but instead offers suggestions on how to improve. He enjoys the attention given to the music he brings in, including Star Wars themes. Dr. Lamb is very patient, listening intently even when he goes off-topic, redirecting him with a gentle touch. She is responsible for instilling an undying love for music in both of my grandchildren, whom I enjoy hearing sing in the shower.
My grandson raves that Dr. Lamb deserves a five-star rating, citing her as nice, patient, and knowledgeable. He was devasted when she had to leave his school, resulting in the termination of The Fabulous Fiddlers program, which had helped him cultivate discipline, work harder on his cello skills, and grow as a musician. He eagerly anticipates continuing with cello as he enters middle school.
Though currently on hiatus due to school pressures, my granddaughter has had a similarly positive experience with Dr. Lamb, progressing well in her guitar lessons. She looks forward to resuming them in the future.
