Music has been my lifelong passion and I have thoroughly enjoyed sharing it with students, teaching Chorus, keyboard, and guitar at Folsom public schools. With the school year now over, I have the opportunity to schedule new students.
My teaching approach is infused with patience, positivity, and student-centeredness, while also incorporating the latest scientific research in music learning. As a fully certified Music Teacher who earned my Masters Degree in Music at Columbia University and my BS at Berklee College of Music, I tailor instruction based on each student's learning style, experience, and goals, and impart efficient practice techniques.
In my experience, everyone can learn to play and improve their ear, which is why I embarked on a life-long study into the research on how people learn music and the effects of learning music on the brain while at Columbia University. My goal is to instill a holistic understanding and love for music, making it much easier to play what one understands. As such, I include music theory and a wide variety of songs in lessons.
Ultimately, playing with beauty and feeling is what it's all about. Peace.

As a professional Guitarist, I've been under Bob's tutelage for approximately 2 months now. Initially, I was at a standstill with my playing, which is what led me to contact Bob. In only a couple of lessons, he helped me in maneuvering the fretboard with increased ease and confidence.
