Pastor Ben Spiritual Direction

Hello there! My name is Rev. Ben Fitzgerald-Fye and I serve as a pastor and spiritual mentor. I hold an M.Div. from the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary and completed my spiritual mentorship training at the Spiritual Renewal Center in Syracuse, NY.
My main goal is to help individuals on their unique spiritual journey and foster a stronger relationship with God. It is crucial that the individual is in control of their journey, which is why I refer to my services as spiritual mentorship instead of spiritual direction.
I have studied various spiritual practices such as monastic and Benedictine practices, contemplative prayer and meditation, and Maryology. I have a broad knowledge of various Christian theologies and spiritual practices, even though I personally identify as a Presbyterian.
My experience as a hospice chaplain has allowed me to assist individuals with grief and loss. I am also a member of the LGBTQIA community and have worked with individuals who have experienced religious trauma. I have also assisted parents of LGBTQIA individuals with accepting and affirming their child's identity as an expression of God's love and creation.
