Initially, we prioritize offering professional advice regarding the most suitable type of granite or other stone countertops for your home. Our designer, Sandra, and I strive to suggest innovative concepts that maintain high quality while keeping the cost as reasonable as possible. We always provide transparent prices in a written agreement, with no hidden charges. Our cost for labor on granite countertop fabrication and installation is only $28.00 per sq ft. Additionally, we sell the granite or other stone material to our customers at our cost, and provide a stamped copy of the granite-wholesaler's invoice, along with a copy of our check or credit-card receipt to show exactly what we paid for the stone. The countertop edges we offer include Softened-Flat, Bullnosed, and Demi-Bullnose. Other edges such as Ogee and Chiseled are also available at an additional cost of +5-15 per linear foot of counter edging. Comparing our prices with competitors is recommended. Similar to all fabricators, cuts that join walls are not edged. We provide a single drop-in sink or cooktop cutout free of cost. For any additional drop-ins, we charge $79. Underrnounted kitchen sinks are only $249, bathroom undermounts are $149 for the extra edge work required. We offer a free visit to your home to evaluate and guarantee a price for the work, as long as you have a definite timeframe for the project. We install up to 50 miles from downtown Tulsa, and charge $1 per mile round-trip beyond 25 miles for your granite delivery.
We have been enthusiastic about working with homes since our early years. I semi-retired from the Design-Build business in 1995 and spent the next 17 years at St John Medical Center in Tulsa. Now, we love demonstrating to our customers how granite enhances the appearance, texture, and worth of their homes, and the most affordable way to achieve that. We are a small, family business, and our reduced costs for granite and stone countertops result from working with a small team while using our independent labor as needed, like transporting larger counters to your home or business. We own our shop and land outright, and our vehicles, trailers, and equipment are all debt-free. We hold no open accounts anywhere, buying our granite slabs for cash. We also don't require a deposit from customers to cover materials beforehand. You only pay us following completion of the work. We trust our customers and they trust us.
We typically agree to schedule no more than 2-3 jobs each week, depending on their size, so that we can take our time and ensure that the fabrication is done correctly. Some larger companies only provide CNC cutting, and may reduce the amount of wet polishing by hand to save time. However, all of our granite and stone is hand-crafted, and we use no less than seven grades of polish pads, with all work completed slowly and meticulously by a skilled granite artisan. Quality is our top priority at Oklahoma Granite and Stone, and our customers can confirm this from our references.
