Nicholas Gallagher
As a PTR certified tennis instructor, I find joy in teaching people of all levels. I have ample experience coaching from various tennis clubs and academies such as Sunrise Tennis Academy, Delaware Valley Tennis Academy, Boca Pointe Country Club, Coral Ridge Country Club, and Addison Reserve. In college, I played tennis for Kutztown University, and I'm proud to have finished 2015 as the sixth-ranked player in the Middle States for men's Open Singles. Moreover, I won several men's open tournaments and competed in mixed doubles USTA events. Recently, I had the pleasure of qualifying for mixed 8.0 and 9.0 Nationals in Tucson, AZ. In 2011, I was part of a USTA team that won a national title. I was born in France and lived there for 14 years, and I hold dual citizenship both in France and the US.
My teaching philosophy prioritizes proper stroke technique, consistency, and excellent fitness, which reflects in the kind of movement drills I emphasize. I also focus on developing the students' mental strength and ability to focus, understanding strategy, and the beauty of the game. A basic lesson with me typically involves lots of ball hitting, including forehand and backhand strokes, volleys, overheads, serves, and returns. I believe in first building consistent strokes before adding power to make them more aggressive.
I take great pride in seeing my students' progress in each lesson and developing a passion for tennis. Beyond learning the game, I understand tennis as an excellent way to exercise and stay physically active, and I have seen the many ways tennis lessons improve a person's fitness level over time.
I have an extensive collection of reviews from past clients, which I can make available upon request. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Nick
