We've had an incredible journey with George and Valentina! Last December, we discussed the possibility of George and his team constructing a small cabin for us in WNC. The project commenced in mid-January and finished in mid-March. Valentina was incredibly proactive in initiating the project, and we're grateful for that. It's worth mentioning that our cabin is located in a remote area without power, water, or access infrastructure. As such, George and his team had to bring their own water and relied on generators to power their tools. Also, the land was located in a steep incline, and building on it was quite a challenge; nonetheless, George and his team worked diligently to bring the project to completion within two months. The scope of the project was extensive, and the team had to draw a floor plan, fell two trees, lay the foundation, construct the framework, install insulation, siding, T&G, and vinyl flooring, and build a small front deck. The team finished the project by painting the exterior and installing the roof. Although there were some stressful moments throughout the project, it was worthwhile as the team delivered an excellent job quickly. One thing to note is that the project turned out to cost more than we initially estimated. However, considering that this is typical of most large projects, it's wise to budget more than the quoted amount. Nonetheless, the cabin's final cost including labor, material, roofing, and basic electricity was around $60k, and we believe that's a fair price. Introducing a stress-free home renovation project. As first-time homeowners for five years, my husband and I were faced with the most expensive home renovation project yet. Previous encounters with contractors for small-scale projects were a mixed bag, therefore I procrastinated on the repair and felt increasingly anxious.
