On the positive side, my new fence is now installed and it surpasses the old one. Since I was awaiting a payment to cover the installation cost, the owner worked with me and accepted a smaller deposit. However, I regret not reading the reviews before hiring this company. My experience with the owner paralleled the negative reviews. Communication was practically nonexistent and sometimes hostile. They frequently failed to appear when they said they would, and even after taking down my old fence on a Friday, they didn't return until Monday. I grew impatient even before work commenced. While it is true that I can be temperamental, I acknowledge that I aggravated the situation. Nonetheless, if you work in a customer-oriented field, you should have the necessary customer service skills. Moreover, once the workers were on the job, there was no reason for the owner to call me because I had already discussed the topic with the team. After an argument, I hung up on him, and he continued calling. As a result of his aggressive behavior, he threatened me with legal action via text message if I did not make a decision immediately, causing me to reply that he could only speak with my husband from that point forward. However, during that time, the workers may continue working. The central issue they and I disagreed on was a 20-30 foot section of the fence containing pickets that the workers wanted to install with the inside facing the yard, while the other pickets would be facing the street. I prohibited this practice and asked them to wait until I returned from lunch to see if my neighbor would let me access my back yard from her yard. This would have taken around thirty minutes. However, he removed the workers from the job site, and they did not return for a week. There are parts of the fence that are unsatisfactory, and the team left debris behind, but I would prefer never to have to deal with New Look again to address anything. My bill has been paid, the check cashed, and I’ve decided to walk away from that experience.
