Welcome to the beautiful Southern California location of Mountain Top Dog Training. Our team has been professionally training and rehabilitating dogs since 1977. We've had the pleasure of training exotic animals such as lions, tigers, bears, wolves, chimpanzees, and elephants for TV and movies. This experience has made us more creative than the average dog trainer. Our specialty is helping the "difficult dog" with specific focus on dog-to-dog aggression, dog-to-people aggression, and anxiety issues. We provide obedience training to competition level with quick response time and hand signals. We're also known for our fun movie trick training and teaching dogs to associate a light noise maker with going "potty".
We're proud to have never taken the dog out of the dog. Our training philosophy is geared specifically towards allowing your dog to be a dog while instilling the 4 most important behaviors: 1.) Good canine citizenship with no fighting or biting; 2.) Instilling boundary control/threshold training to prevent door dashing and car accidents; 3.) Teaching dogs to come when called every time; 4.) Ensuring dogs use the bathroom outside.

We offer a free consultation and invite you to watch our trainers work with your dog prior to hiring us. Additionally, we never charge by the number of dogs in Private Programs. We hope to have the pleasure of serving you and helping your furry friend become the best version of themselves.
