LMD Design and Construction exceeded my expectations and I cannot recommend them highly enough. My husband and I needed the downstairs of our newly purchased home in Boston Metro painted before we moved in, and LMD was one of several contractors we reached out to for an estimate. Lori, the owner, stood out immediately with her extensive knowledge, honesty, and trustworthiness. She provided a fair quote and was able to meet our timeline without sacrificing quality. The project involved painting the kitchen, dining room, and living room walls, painting all the trim, interior doors, installing crown molding, and hanging wallpaper on one wall. Adam, who works for LMD, is an expert painter and true artist who helped us choose the perfect wallpaper, going out of his way to meet us at a store with samples. The attention to detail, even going beyond the original quote when I changed my mind about the wallpaper twice, was impressive. Lori and her team were punctual, trustworthy, and apt, and even repaired problematic trim with cracks and unevenly applied brown stain. I was amazed by the quality and highly recommend LMD Design and Construction for projects of any scale. Their rare qualities of dexterity, expertise, and trustworthiness set them apart from other contractors and make them the restaurant that consistently delivers high quality dishes promptly to your table.

The estimate process was both excellent and efficient, and it closely resembled the original quotation.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the entire Mother Construction team. Your collective efforts and professionalism have made my project an enjoyable and hassle-free experience from beginning to end. Each step of the way, I felt supported and informed. After a disappointing experience with another contractor last spring, Lori and her team were a welcome relief. The kitchen renovation turned out stunning, and the workers were tidy and polite. I am excited to work with Lori again in the spring on my sunroom addition.

Communication is difficult to obtain.

In June of 2021, I hired Mother Construction to complete my bathroom renovation. Despite the bathroom looking great and meeting my expectations upon completion in April of 2022, the process leading up to it was incredibly frustrating and elongated. Throughout the project, there was a lack of communication from Mother Construction's contractors, leaving me in the dark about when they were planning to show up or proceed. This lasted for months and added unnecessary stress to the renovation process. In retrospect, there was a clause in the contract regarding the timeline of the project which I should have scrutinized more closely. They stipulated the job would take 2-3 months from issuance of permits, but the process of acquiring permits was not accounted for and took them 4 months. Consequently, from permit issuance to completion, the entire renovation ended up taking 4-5 months instead of the anticipated 2-3 months. This highlighted a clear deficiency on Mother Construction's part to effectively manage and communicate timelines to their clients. Moreover, Mother Construction demolished the entire bathroom in August/September and left it in that state until February, despite being unable to work on it for several months. This left me with a demolished bathroom and no communication from them, which was far from a positive experience. Unfortunately, due to these issues in communication and project management, I cannot recommend Mother Construction for future projects.
