Cal is a dependable and attentive worker who undertook a number of projects at my home. Two of the larger jobs he completed involved refacing our fireplace and installing a new banister and iron rails on our staircase. Although he did a decent job with the fireplace, our experience with the staircase was less satisfactory. We had previously hired another contractor to remove our old banister and wood railing, but he declined to install the replacement banister due to his lack of expertise in that area. Cal assured us that he was up to the task and his fees were reasonable, so we hired him. Unfortunately, after he completed the project, I discovered several issues with the installation. Firstly, the posts were fitted at odd angles, meaning they did not line up flush with the existing foundation. Although he provided a solution, the problem persisted after his attempted fix. Secondly, the rail fittings were crooked and did not remain secure. I suspected that the large nails used to fasten the iron rails were to blame. Thirdly, the base of the railings was uneven, leading to an unlevel overall appearance. Fourthly, the newly refinished wood floor beneath the banister was scratched and cracked in multiple places. Lastly, there were visible marks drawn on the finished floors, mainly on the first and second floors. Despite Cal's offer to rectify the issues, I decided to cut my losses as the project had already exceeded the original plan and some of the attempted solutions had only made matters worse.

I would like to express my utmost recommendation for these professionals. Their exemplary work merits recognition, and I am indebted to them for their assistance and sense of professionalism. They fulfilled all obligations and even diligently tidied up post-work. If I ever necessitate additional home renovations, I would not hesitate to contact them once again.
