Description:

My teaching is a true passion of mine, and I hold all the necessary credentials and excellent reviews as a U.S.P.T.A Certified tennis Instructor. However, what truly sets me apart is my sincere care for each of my students. My lessons run for 75 minutes, longer than the standard 60, and I will happily surpass that time if needed to get the desired results. I place utmost importance on the end goal of seeing my students reach their targets without constantly monitoring my watch. Witnessing my students improve while having fun is incredibly rewarding and always brings a smile to my face.

Michael was my first tennis instructor, and my 16-year-old son joined me for the lesson. As a beginner with no prior formal training, Michael was able to improve my son's backhand, teach him proper serving technique, and even had him hitting a nice forehand by the end of the session. With Michael's guidance, my son now possesses the correct mechanics and form to continue practicing until his next lesson. Having played tennis for three decades, I had never effectively executed a top spin backhand. After observing my swing, Michael made some necessary adjustments, resulting in my newfound ability to hit a consistent top spin backhand. I highly recommend Michael as a coach, as he possesses a vast knowledge of tennis and an unwavering enthusiasm to see his students improve.

In 1992, I had the pleasure of playing with Mike Harley on the University of Illinois team. Amongst our 14 teammates, Mike emerged victorious in the challenge match tournament. He displayed intelligence and toughness on the court with a stable base, making him an exceptional competitor for our Fighting Illini squad - losing was not an option for him. Through his time as an athlete and teammate, Mike underwent a significant transformation, holding his own against some of the finest coaches in the United States. I can attest to his mastery of power, technical knowledge, and unparalleled intensity. Mike's unwavering commitment to bettering himself is reflected in his work with his students, whom he is devoted to and relentlessly driven in their success. His rare passion has been a source of motivation for me. I have no doubt that any tennis player would be fortunate to have him as a coach. My tennis has been taken to new heights and beyond with the incredible guidance of Michael, a remarkable instructor. He has skillfully honed my strokes and crafted a proper swing, setting him apart from any other coach I have encountered. Furthermore, Michael has a distinct approach to tennis, challenging traditional notions and techniques. When faced with the age-old advice to swing "low to high," Michael proves adept at identifying and rectifying ingrained habits, leading to a truly transformative tennis experience.

Upon discovering Michael's numerous positive reviews, I decided to hire him. Following his interaction and instruction with my 5 and 7-year-old children, I was thoroughly impressed. Although I stumbled upon a peculiar review, I chose to overlook it and am now relieved that I did. Michael exudes genuine ardor and exemplifies his commitment to aiding his pupils.

I found the initial tennis class to be extremely beneficial. The instructor paid attention to every detail and effectively used analogies to aid in comprehension. He persistently worked with me to ensure my technique was perfected, even under intense heat. Additionally, he later sent me valuable feedback on my form. I highly suggest seeking out this instructor!
