Meyer Nam's Piano Studio

As a graduate of Mannes School of Music with a specialization in piano, I have been imparting my knowledge to students at various locations in the Queens/Long Island area for the past five years. My illustrious teaching career comprises of rendering instruction at a music school, substituting for fellow colleagues, instructing my own private studio, and teaching fellow colleagues in college. At present, I am offering lessons at my own private studio.

My students have reached and exceeded their goals under my guidance. Apart from imparting knowledge on how to read music, I also teach what the composer intended in the score and the musicality required to sway the audience. Several students have won international awards and performed in esteemed halls such as Carnegie Hall and Merkin Hall.

I ensure that my students assimilate the concepts discussed in my fast-paced classes before proceeding to the next topic. Furthermore, I possess ample knowledge in music theory and have had experience tutoring basic and college-level theory. Learning theory not only helps you understand music better but also puts you in a better position to play the piano expertly.
