Greetings, I am Patrick Carr, the owner and lead technician of Metropolitan Piano Tuning. As a registered piano technician with Piano Technicians Guild, I have a strong commitment to making your piano sound and perform at its best. As a pianist and performer myself, I approach each tuning with a personal touch and strive to leave every piano in optimal condition.
With over 10 years of experience, I have honed my skills while at Berklee College of Music, where I started working on heavily-used practice pianos and eventually advanced to tuning and prepping high-level pianos. I have also worked as both a master technician for Floating Piano Factory and as a field technician for Faust Harrison, where I serviced up to 7 pianos a day.
I have dedicated my career to improving my knowledge in piano technology and have attended seminars on regulation, tuning, and grand piano regulation at the Steinway factory in Astoria.
By founding Metropolitan Piano Tuning, I hope to provide exceptional service to the New York community and ensure that your piano sounds its best.

Oh my goodness! My piano is timeless. It was saved from old, almost discarded furniture. Although I have had it for 2 years and have had it tuned every 6 months, no one has been able to stabilize two keys that were flat. This has been frustrating for me since I have perfect relative pitch. However, the professional who tuned my piano also tuned a piano in a common area of my residence. After finishing his work, he even gave a small performance!
