Problem: The wiring for my kitchen light was damaged during quartz countertop installation in the summer of 2022. I received costly estimates from three electricians, all attributing the difficulty of accessing the switch as the reason for the high cost. The previous homeowners' installation of a floor-to-ceiling kitchen cabinet obstructed the switch, making it almost inaccessible. Though there were other switches and an outlet on the affected wire that were not working, the electricians all agreed that the switch behind the kitchen cabinet was the problem, and the cabinet would have to be removed to access it. This would have been time-consuming and costly, risking damage to the cabinet. As a result, I opted to leave the light alone and go without it. I decided to look for a solution again and contacted four electricians from my area on CrackerJack. Mario was the first to respond, arriving promptly the next day. He worked efficiently to find a solution without having to remove my cabinets, testing different outlets and installing a new wire as needed.
