I was stood up. It's easy to agree to meet, but I'm actually relieved I didn't show up. Our meeting had been arranged well in advance, and they had assured me they would be there if I just gave them a time and place. However, after I had been traveling for an hour and a half, they called me and told me that they wouldn't be coming because the appointment had not been approved. This understandably annoyed me and put me in a bad mood. The person I spoke to said that they would end the conversation because I wasn't speaking to them like an adult. They didn't seem to realize that it's more adult to follow through on your commitments than to speak with a polite tone.
