Melaina Mills is a skilled singer and pianist who provides voice and piano lessons to students of all ages. Originally from Denver, Colorado, she has a studio in Colorado and offers virtual lessons worldwide. With a masters degree in Opera Performance from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee, Melaina has taken on various roles in both opera and musical theatre. Her primary goal is to help her students discover the full potential of their voices in a supportive environment.

Melaina is equally comfortable on stage as an operatic soprano and concert performer. She often performs roles in productions in Boston and Denver, and recently played Jocelyn Jordan in The Manchurian Candidate, Paquette in Candide, and covered Cleopatra in Giulio Cesare in Egitto with Seagle Music Colony. She also sings in Boston's Odyssey Opera chorus and will play The Governess in The Turn of the Screw at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee in 2021.

Melaina has been a soloist at concerts throughout the US and played the soprano solos in Handel's Messiah and Fauré's Requiem. She is currently a weekly soloist and section leader at St. John the Evangelist in Hingham, MA, and has performed with Stetson University's premier Concert Choir in Bach's St. John Passion. Melaina also regularly performs recitals in Boston and Denver.

Melaina was awarded First Prize in the Florida Federation of Music Clubs' Stephen Foster Jeanie Competition and the Wednesday Morning Music Club of Daytona Beach Vocal Competition. She earned her Bachelor of Music degree from Stetson University in DeLand, FL and is currently working towards a Master of Music degree at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
