As an experienced piano teacher, I offer lessons for students of all proficiency levels. Over the course of 28 years, I have received private instruction and attained 2 1/2 college degrees in music from esteemed institutions such as Hope and Aquinas colleges. My love of music extends to working with children, and I have been imparting my knowledge to eager learners since 2004. In my lessons, I prioritize making the learning process enjoyable and offer tailored, one-on-one instruction to each student.
My passion for music extends beyond teaching, as I can be found regularly playing piano and singing. I specialize in instructing beginners and intermediate students, and take pride in watching their ability to read notes improve after each lesson. I believe in crafting a unique approach for each student and have had success implementing this tactic in the past. For example, with one second-grade student, I used games and movements to help her understand pitch, rhythm, and tempo better. Seeing her joy in learning and constant eagerness to attend our weekly session made it all worth it.
On the other end of the spectrum, I have a dedicated advanced adult student whom I teach college-level music theory. As a lifelong learner myself, I am always keen to take on new students who share my enthusiasm for exploring the intricacies of music theory.
