Greetings! I am Matt, a Music Teacher and Producer based in East Nashville equipped with over 18 years of teaching experience. I am dedicated to helping students derive maximum pleasure from their playing or producing. As a patient instructor, I make lessons enjoyable and immersive, covering a wide range of music genres such as Pop, Rock, Country & Jazz, as well as songwriting, recording, mixing, and audio production classes.

Keeping the lessons intriguing is my priority; therefore, I employ songs that align with the music theory we're studying at the time. My approach entails teaching the fundamental theory and logic of music, which facilitates fluency on either your instrument or DAW.

Learning guitar from Matt has exceeded any expectations I had. I traveled from LA to Nashville with the goal of acquiring some basic guitar skills for songwriting, unsure if it was even possible. However, Matt not only taught me those basics, but also linked them to childhood piano lessons I had long forgotten, making the material easily relatable. For 3 and a half years, Matt has been instructing my son on how to play the guitar. Albeit he has recently relocated elsewhere, our experience with him has been exceptional. We correspondingly figured out a way to conduct their lessons through Skype. Despite being a demanding student, Matt manages to keep him engaged by making the lessons enjoyable.
