With over 15 years of tutoring experience, I am a native French tutor who has successfully educated students of all ages and skill levels, including beginners, intermediates, and advanced learners. My work has included partnerships with leading tutoring agencies such as Wyzant and Parliament Tutor, in addition to independent tutoring.

I pride myself on my patience and ability to personalize my approach according to each individual's unique needs. Helping students overcome academic challenges in areas such as homework, reading, writing, and test preparation is a fulfilling experience for me. Mathilde is an outstanding French instructor! Despite studying French on my own for numerous years, I didn't make much headway. However, having a proficient mentor explain the concepts in my textbook has made all the difference. She assists me in comprehending unfamiliar words and phrases and rectifies my pronunciation errors. I struggle with comprehending the diverse rules of grammar in French which can be quite difficult and exasperating. Nevertheless, Mathilde has been patient with her explanations and illustrations. My Christmas present from my son was these lessons with Mathilde, and I am thoroughly relishing learning French with her!

Ms. Mathilde is highly punctual and accommodates your schedule for the sessions. As a beginner, I thoroughly enjoyed learning French. Since my class was virtual, when it came to new words or grammar concepts, we either referred to the book or she spelled out the new words.
