Greetings!

My piano lessons are transformative in nature. I approach music as a language and provide students with exercises to internalize it. Once you're capable of "speaking" music, it becomes effortless and enjoyable, as seen in Kenny Werner's teachings. As a bonus, all my regular students have free access to all my courses.

My lessons last 45 minutes, and I follow an organized Step-by-Step approach. My primary aim is to instill a spontaneous, creative, and meaningful musical language in the subconscious. I offer classical and jazz lessons, with a Masters Degree qualification in classical piano, and an active career as a jazz performer and book/online course author. My primary focus is teaching my students how to improvise music, which can be quite an enjoyable and life-changing experience. I am exclusively interested in working with learners who are serious about their musical ambitions.

For over a year now, I have been taking lessons from Martan and plan to continue doing so. He is an exceptional musician whom I consider my true "guru". Martan possesses a unique and exceptional teaching ability, enabling him to establish a solid foundation on music theory, reading, writing, technique, and general music comprehension for students of any level. One of the things I love about Martan is that he pushes and challenges his students, always striving to get the best out of them. He is a very disciplined, methodical, and professional teacher who pays attention to every detail. Additionally, he is friendly and easily lovable. Throughout my journey with him, I have yet to encounter a single lesson that I didn't enjoy. I have improved tremendously since starting out, and I cannot thank him enough for his guidance and teaching. I highly recommend him with a 10/10 rating.

Martan is a fantastic teacher whose love for his craft shines through his lessons. Despite a challenging workload, it is necessary for those seeking to master the piano given the vast amount of knowledge involved. Martan recognizes this, and his enthusiasm for teaching motivates his students to do the same. Though I wish for more personal practice time to match the demand of his lessons, I am content with steady progress thus far.

Mr. Martan Mann and I crossed paths after I acquired a copy of his book, Improvising Blues Piano. Delving into the book's contents, I noticed Martan's frequent mentions of the subconscious on its seventh page, and his teachings on this subject struck a chord with me. As a result, I began private lessons with Martan, whose tutelage has encouraged me to carefully examine the mixolydian mode and how it can be applied to the blues.
