My extensive experience of 47 years, working with dealers, recording studios, schools, churches, and more, makes me a go-to option for last-minute work. In addition, I was a Registered Tuner/Technician with the Piano Technicians Guild for 20 years. Apart from tuning, my services include a free cleaning, which for grands comprises cleaning the soundboard, under the strings, the plate, and the area around the tuning pins. For uprights, I clean the keys, when necessary, and offer free pedal adjustments.
My charges begin at a base price of $150, which applies to pianos not terribly out of tune. If only a minor touch-up is needed, I am happy to offer a discount of up to $15. However, if the piano requires a double tuning for it to sound perfect, which is important for musicians or pianos in recording studios, the price may go up to $200. For clients located beyond 15 miles from Sherman Oaks, there will be an additional charge, which we can discuss before scheduling an appointment. To make the process easier, I provide my contact number, and you are welcome to send me a video of the piano or even photos of the inside, so I can determine how out of tune it is and assess its mechanical condition.
