Hello! My name is Crystal and I am a Mandarin Chinese instructor. I have experience teaching a wide range of students, including preschoolers and adult learners. To ensure that each student's unique needs are met, I create personalized learning plans for everyone. With adult learners, we discuss and set achievable goals, whether that includes developing conversational or professional skills. I have also worked with students preparing for HSK and language tests such as AAPPL. In addition, I have designed lesson plans to prepare for standard exams such as AP and SAT Chinese.

I hold a bachelor's degree in teaching Chinese as a second language from National Taiwan Normal University, and I received professional training through a language educator training program at George Mason University. I am also certified by the Ministry of Education in Taiwan to teach Chinese as a second language.

When designing lessons for younger learners, I follow the ACTFL standards commonly adopted by immersion schools. For adult learners, I can tailor lessons to meet your long-term and short-term goals.
