Hello, I'm Afra and the proud owner of Makeup by Afra. I'm 31 years old, and I have a cheerful and uncomplicated demeanor. My passion for recognizing and enhancing beauty began in childhood, and I have become a perfectionist over the years.
Starting as a Sephora Certified Makeup Artist in 2016, I did freelance as a hobby until 2021 when I became NYMUA certified. In 2021, my work was featured in NYFW.
My goal is to provide you with the best service possible. Together, we'll find the perfect look for you that not only enhances your natural beauty but also empowers you, regardless of your age, group, skin type, facial structure, shape or color. My portfolio ranges from makeup and hair styling for business photoshoots to bridal hair and makeup for individuals. My priority always is to make people happy, and nothing makes me happier than when my clients shine.

I am exceedingly thankful for everything Aafra has done. When I initially enlisted her services to style my daughter's hair and makeup, she candidly and forthrightly stated her level of expertise. Nonetheless, she delivered exceptional work. In addition, she applied makeup on me. Being someone who rarely applies makeup and harbors a phobia of getting poked in the eye with a brush, Aafra ensured that I felt secure and relaxed throughout the entire process. We even shared a few jokes, and her work made me almost teary-eyed. I have never felt more stunning than I did after she finished. Throughout the entire event, I received numerous compliments on my makeup.

When I went out of town to attend a wedding, I wanted to have my hair and makeup done in a way that would last all day. Much to my delight, Afra did an amazing job! She clearly followed the directions I gave her, and in addition, her demeanor was both kind and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone.
