As a music educator with a decade of experience teaching a diverse range of students, I have become an expert in the fields of guitar, ukulele, and bass music education. Unlike larger music schools, I offer a personalized approach to learning, emphasizing both technique and theory while cultivating a love of music in my students. By tailoring my approach to suit each student's unique needs and learning style, I can help beginners of any age get started on their musical journey, and assist seasoned players with preparing for gigs or improving their skills.
My own musical journey began studying classical guitar under a former student of Andres Segovia, and continued through college under the tutelage of Adam Del Monte and James Smith. I earned a degree in Jazz guitar performance from the Thornton School of Music at USC, studying under renowned musicians like Bruce Forman, Pat Kelley, Nick Stoubis, and Frank Potenza. As a professional musician and composer, I have expertise in a variety of musical genres, including pop, rock, folk, blues, jazz, improvisation, music theory, classical, composition, songwriting, and music production.
My passion for music education stems from a deep love for music making, and I take pride in helping my students progress, develop, and excel. Whether working with beginners, hobbyists, or seasoned professionals, my goal is to share my knowledge and experience in a way that inspires and encourages growth.

For almost a month now, I have been attending guitar classes led by Lucas. During this short period, he has imparted a lot of knowledge to me concerning the basics of Classical Guitar. I had previously studied with a teacher who was terribly dull, and as a result, I abandoned his classes after numerous sessions because I did not feel I was making any headway under such uninspiring circumstances. In contrast, Lucas is exceptionally patient and instructs at an appropriate pace that holds my attention. He constantly motivates me to learn new things. Although I am aware that I have a long way to go before accomplishing my aspirations, I find it gratifying to have Lucas as my mentor, and honestly, I cannot imagine having anyone else instructing me.
